It was better then the original, I give it a 6.5 out of 10, still pissed on them blackfacing Iris West, still don't like Ezra Miller, them not giving us a green Lantern, but I did like Cyborg this time. Still think he's more of a Titan then a leaguer though. Still… it was way better than the Weadom version.
I loved it a lot!! Might be my favorite comic book movie and I thought the score fit great with this movie!

Do a spoiler one too 😁
I didn´t feel like it was 4h long. I guess I am a fan off Zack Snyder movies. There is nothing I didn´t like. There were some funny Easter eggs for me, including Justice for Johnny Dep and Spider man. What I like the most is there villains are villains.
Good review Jayne
You know what is the funnies thing about this movie ?It is extremely divisive among fans, but it is completely apolitical. When was the last movie that had this ? Movie that created controversy on it merits, rather than on some sort of political narratives present.
I'm glad you liked it.
Hmm interesting, well its on quite the back burner for me. If the green lantern was in it I'd be far more interested.
I really enjoyed it, though took me a few days to watch it after the whole G&G stuff.
My major issue was the aspect ratio, I know he had his reasons but I think it was to the detriment of the film, where as say the Lighthouse it worked for it.
In regards to the score, it was the songs that where jarring to me, I like Nick Cave & the Bad Seeds but there songs were out of place, I know he probably choose Distant Sky from Skeleton Tree because Nick wrote that album after the loss of his son so maybe felt a connection with that of the lose of his daughter, and those fish women(sorry don't know what to call them) singing as Aquaman was leaving was just weird.
The slow mo, yeah was way overused, but to be honest I expected that since its one of those things you get in pretty much every Snyder film, and the CGI I was fine with, I watched Odin's review and he wasn't a big fan of that aspect, but for me I was ok with it.
I do wonder what this film would look like if it was released in cinema, because WB wouldn't have released it as a 4 hour cut.
oh and the epilogue scenes were a bit pointless if we go under the assumption that Zack is not involved with the DCEU going forward. Yeah it was a better Leto Joker for all 10 seconds and it was good to have Martian Manhunter, but none of that adds anything really unless Zacks vision is carried forward.
It's better. But not drastically better. Steppenwolf does look great. But everything was so muted and there was too much slow motion. The fight scenes didn't do anything special. The black suit was a nice touch.
