fun fact: you can still kinda do the Miiverse method by using the Wii U internet browser and going to i.nintendo.net to post screenshots to Twitter or Facebook.

Actually, you can still share Wii u screen shots on social media, using the browser. You just press the upload button for images, and it automatically gives you the option to choose a screenshot of the gamepad or tv screen.
