"900 YO Yoda" Um, only 20+- years passed since he went into exile. He was still almost 900 YO.

I mean that is like almost every coach in every sport. I by myself am a coach and I cannot do what my students do. I used to do it and used to be really good, but now I only have the knowledge. I think that is just normal.

I think if yoda lost he would benefit somehow out of the defeat. Making him loose physically but the actions benefited the force

I like the idea of Yoda losing to Vader. Yeah, 20 years ago, Yoda would have wiped out Vader like Obi Wan. However, he was getting old and weak. The biggest strength of Yoda was knowledge of the force. I would have loved to see Yoda fight Vader in the "Return of the Jedi" and fall. It would have made the story more compelling. The emperor could badger Luke by saying, "See, your master is pathetic and learning from him makes you weak. Join me to be strong!".

I believe Vader in his prime would have beaten Yoda maybe not demolished because Yoda was still pretty fresh not as jaded as he was in return of the Jedi, I believe Yoda's weakness if anything was his stamina I don't think that he could last the time against Vader and that's when Vader would finish him. Brutally, but I believe Vader would have won in his prime.

Alright. Vader fanboys are insane lol. Anakin was stronger than vader. Obi Wan beat him. Yoda can beat obi wan. SO THAT MEANS that yoda could easily beat vader. Sidious put restriction in and on vader to make him weaker.

I believe that Yoda is the powerful being. Celestials not included. On par with Yoda possibly would be the Emperor. Prime Yoda in Revenge of the Sith vs Darth Vader prime who had achieved so many powers in Rebels timeline. One heck of a fight. But I think George Lucas if both at prime was wrong. If Vader fought Empire Strikes back Yoda Vader would win.

Yoda would have lost if he was 900 years old. If Yoda and Darth Vader were in their prime, I think Yoda would win.

Yoda has to hold back though. An old man no longer cares about ego but turning the youth towards the light. If Yoda cared about proving who is the best and an innocent life was at stake then Yoda would easily win. The Force is with you if you serve the Will of the Force. Its will is not to boost the ego of the jedi but to protect life. If Yoda is fighting for a worthy cause then he won't lose. Sometimes the force will allow a stalemate to test the fqith of the force user. Perhaps the Force wants to know if a Jedi will turn to the dark side if it gives them an edge in combat. To know the answer you would have to not let them defeat all enemies decisively. This encourages Jedi to stay humble and train harder than sith by not looking for shortcuts but to become determined not to give up just because you don't have all the advantages. You should have to endure a loss if you are fighting someone better than you. But if the Force is with you, the Force takes control over the event to fufill its will. Eg Maul defeats QuiGon which creates a desire in Obiwan to focus harder when its his turn to fight. Just like when Luke saw Obi Wan be struck down by Vader in A New Hope which transformed him from an apathetic person to one that now hates the Empire and caused him to be personally invested in wanting to fight now. (he lost his uncle and aunt and now his mentor. That's got to piss you off enough to seek out a path to want the Empire destroyed now) In both scenes the teacher dying served the purpose of "passing down the torch of responsibility to the next generation" so a hero could rise from humble start with barely any support to guide him.._to a humble knight fighting for justice and without bureaucracy involved. It's a much more interesting story than a person who already possess skill and doesn't need the Force because they just know what to do all the time. (yes that character we know as Rey that is rude to everyone even the black guy who is trying to save her life. That shows a character we as people cannot relate to because nobody is immortal and comes into a story as a demigod. Even elite sport atheletes like Michael Jordan or Bruce Lee trained hard due to failing so much before becoming well-known)

I think that Yoda would have the upper hand most of the time and manage to score many hits on Vader and will put up the quite the fight overall. However, Vader has proven himself time and time again to be capable of winning through sheer will and hatred, and would ultimately score the killing blow against Yoda. So the winner would definitely be Vader.

ep 1-3 Yoda vs ep 4-6 Vader=probably Yoda. ep 4-6 Yoda vs ep 4-6 Vader=Vader. and if Anakin hadn't been injured and had reached his full potential he would have been unstoppable which is what Luke was supposed to be until Johnson happened.

I just don’t think the original Yoda was ever designed to use a lightsaber. I think the idea behind Yoda was that he used the force in other ways.

5:32 Obi wan Kenobi is nearly undefeated (Grievous, Anakin Skywalker, etc. He lost to Dooku to a force push twice, but survived both attacks.) Kenobi is one of the best Jedi, but is so humble that perhaps he comes off as less powerful than he actually is. I love your videos and don't mean to nitpick. Don't underestimate Kenobi!

Episode 5 Vader vs Episode 5 Yoda is a very different fight than Episode 3 Vader vs Episode 3 Yoda. Episode 5 yoda is just a few months away from death from natural causes. He isn't the same swordsman he was even 20 years ago.

I think that maybe Yodas race ages in stages and not as gradually as we do.
This would make sense as we see him age quite heavly in only arround 20 Years

from Episode III to V even though 20 years shouldn't make that much of a difference

for a species with a lifespan of a thousand years.

So I think that Yoda from Episode III could have defeated suit Vader

but I agree that Yoda from Episode V wouldn't anymore.

Not surprising I think if the emperor only limit himself to a light saver then vader could definitely beat him but even in the avenge of the Sith emperor only beat Yoda thanks to his force abilities when he’s younger and probably more powerful then he is now he was literally sustaining himself with the light side of force To finish training Luke only person That could actually beat Vader in his full potential is Emperor why are you Could argue Luke but if vader could actually took him seriously I do believe he could actually kill Luke

IMO, Vader is severely under rated on this channel, for what reason I don’t really know. I think he’s the strongest modern era Jedi by a country mile and in his prime would wipe the floor with literally any Jedi, period. Yoda prime would put up a great fight but ultimately succumb.

No we needed to see yoda fight, like getting to see prime yoda vs prime sidous is deadly. One of the big mistakes of the squels is not putting luke vs snoke. Yoda was old and dieing in epsoide 5 but yoda in his prime kills vader

It is interesting to discuss George Lucas' approach to Yoda or Star wars re masonic teachings/beliefs, e.g. balance/rule of twos and also there was an old fictional elusive mystic called Joda or something I think who you sought wisdom from.

I think Vader would win with Yoda in episode 6, because he's old. You should definitely bring more Yoda videos to the channel for example why he was hiding all the time on Dagobah and not really using force.

If it was Prequel Yoda v Prequel Anakin that would've have been the most awesome fight ever however, I do believe that Vader would've have won against OG Trilogy Yoda since Yoda was very very old

OT yoda vs suited Vader , Vader wins hands down

Prequels yoda vs suited Vader , yoda destroys Vader cuz he’s way too fast for Vader

Prequels yoda vs Vader (anakin form , like the Vader on mustafar) still yoda wins but not destroys anakin Vader , unless Vader is full power with hate and all that stuff and no mechanical limbs , Vader wins

Yoda…he went into exile because he couldn't beat Palpatine. Why kill his new apprentice? He'd just find another tool in the force. His prize Vader is damaged but still useful. Better to wait to train a strong user of the light side of force

If Yoda could've beaten Vader, he would've been obliged to end the Sith, no?
(I get now why in Phantom that Anakin's reading's "are off the chart, higher than Master Yoda")
