I really love the series so far. I think I prefer Chris Evens as Captain America but I think John Krasinski would have been a better pick to replace Chris Evens. In my opinion.

Fade in … I already forgot about this show. In the comics the Super Serum doesn't really grant superhuman abilities, it gives whoever takes it Olympic level strength, agility and speed. Unless they've retconned it, there was only ever one Super Serum, and that was given to the original Cap … any other reference to Super Serum was basically a knockoff and somewhat less effective.

Juiced with the serum is probably the term. (also, not looking to win) Remember, the serum without the Stark chamber… created Red Skull.

I’m among the guilty on calling Walker Capt Douchebag last week. Maybe it just a poor angle for that shot in the first episode.
I think Isaiah is going to be a victim of Hydra’s infiltration of the government as it goes on.
I was definitely looking forward to them bringing Falcon and the Winter Soldier together and was happy with the way they did it. I like both of the characters and the actors playing them so I really want to see how they develop them both through even this short series.
I think Walker and his sidekick aren’t meant to be “bad guys” as much as they are just tools of the military similar to the head SWORD agent from WandaVision. I don’t know if Walker is supposed to have been given the super soldier serum or not, but he definitely seemed to be enhanced in some way. I guess they did just sort of say that he was sort of a super athlete so maybe he hasn’t and is just relying on natural athletic ability and lots of training to carry him through. Regardless I don’t think he’s going to be around long. The trailers showed Bucky and Sam training together and Sam having the shield so I imagine Walker is going to be a short lived character in the series.

Captain duchebag 🤣 the government have been training him for a long time…..
I think he's Hydra and Falcon will be Captain America at the end of the series.

It’s funny how they set up Ctn D to show him trying to be nice but every time he ends up showing how high he thinks of himself.

Walker was way out matched in the truck fight, the real Cap would have ended it right there😎

Love y’all!! But I did not love the new Captain America. I didn’t love this episode but I didn’t hate it, but having Bucky and Sam together finally was awesome!

walker, aka US Agent in the comics, does have enhanced abilities. not from the serum, but who knows what the mcu will do. and isaiah was tested on and given abilities as well. theres different versions of that story in the comics too, so we’ll see how the mcu does it.

Calling it now, John Walker will turn out to be the villian of this story.

I think Walker (Cap'n D) and Hoskins (Battlestar) are secretly working for the Power Broker and have a lower grade version of the serum or have to take injections regularly to enhanced them but it's temporary and addictive.

A lot of the subtle commentary of this show seems to be going over your heads. That scene with Isiah and the cops pulling up on Sam and Bucky had me shook. That cop scene in particular was too real for me.

With them bringing in the fact that now there are more people able to have the serum, as well as bringing Zemo back in, they could easily revive Hydra and expand them to have more of the beefed-up lackeys we could have seen them having before.

The only surviving super serum went into Steve, Hulk was made from an attempt to recreate it. So in MCU it is doubtful that he has the original serum, especially how it turns you into a super version of what you already are. Red skull went from bad to worse, Steve went from small but courageous to Awesomeness. So Cap Douche would turn worse

So we watched the first two episodes of Falcon and the Winter Soldier tonight…no full screen warning screens to explain that the show features more swearing in the first two episodes than in ALL of the Marvel theatrically released films in the MCU to date. BUT The Muppet Show, Dumbo, Peter Pan, Swiss Family Robinson and others all have full screen un-skippable warnings about offensive content that was wrong then and wrong now?

Can anyone tell me what planet this is or what mirror-universe I've accidently woke up in?

Great review! This episode was definitely much more interesting. Still hard to take Walker seriously as a super hero. Winter soldier should have his own series.

I actually like John Walker, but I have a bad feeling the show will eventually paint him as being comically right-wing and that will be the given reason why Sam should be Captain America. Overall, I like the show but worry that it’s only going to amp up the wokeness.

I like that you very intelligent and beautiful ladies are able to understand Bucky's very strong story arc that a man that has been brainwashed to kill savagely and how hard that would be for him to rebound and find a sense of who he really is.

When I seen her destroy Redwing I was thinking who is Sam's tech guy to keep him updated with his drone and wings maintenance. It would be nice if Sam have some type of connection with Shuri after leaving Wakanda and maybe he do with Bucky because we know they gave him the name White Wolf.

I like what Marvel does with these side positioning teams like with Cap team v Tony team and now they have Blipped people v None Blipped people.

I feel how Marvel is tackling the racist tones in how the American government treated Black superheroes like Isaiah Bradley, throughout history I feel they will address Adam Bernard Brashear (Blue Marvel) history with racism from the government as well once he is introduced into the MCU. These stories of racist treatment are from the comics not generated from the woke environment of the current atmosphere which is sticking with Stan Lee's (RIP) understanding of Marvel comics that speak out against social unfairness and not just superhero stuff.

Thanks for another great review.

I’m still on the fence here. I’m familiar with the comics and I’m just not a fan of the whole John walker storyline. So I am having a hard time enjoying the show.

At least Sam and Bucky were together this week. For me, though, Steve’s absence looms so large it just still breaks my heart. Every episode I wish that Robert and Chris and the powers that he had changed their minds on ending Tony and Steve’s stories.

You’ll get me through it, though. Enjoy the show!

I liked the episode! Definitely think Bucky opening up in the interview room at the police dept was big for him and such a shame Sam brushed him off.

It was both fun and heartbreaking this week. The Sam and Bucky dynamic has always been great in part because of the writing but also the charisma and talent of Sebastian Stan and Anthony Mackie. I was ready to see them together again and it did not disappoint.

Bucky went and broke my heart with his confession and worry about not being good after all. I appreciated Sam's comment about being on the run with Steve while Bucky was in Wakanda. It really helps set the stage for where they are each coming from and gives us a place to go as the series goes on.

Walker is clearly a capable human. They list off accomplishment after accomplishment as well as the details of his physical prowess. I am not sure I got a "Super Soldier" vibe from him…probably because he got his butt beat. But it wouldn't surprise me to see him go in any direction. I like that setup. I am ready for more!

So going by the comics these villains are juicing to get their powers and Walker will go to the same source to compete with Steve who in the comics was just disavowed by the government and stripped of title. Walker is a jerk but hes also a hero kinda Punisher who fallows orders

Isaiah is from the comics Red White and Black that took the real life experiment that the government did on black soldiers during WW2 and gave it a superhero twist. His grandson is the leader of the young Advengers

Sorry for the late view, I'm way behind on my YouTube. Anyways I actually didn't care for this episode dispite loving the first. A big part was the therapist scene, it was so much funnier in the trailer but in the actual episode it was awkward Hopefully next episode will be one we all like

Revealing that Walker is a doush early in a 6 episode show isn't a bad thing. He's not a villian, just a jerk!
