Plain Jane is not a critique of someone's natural attractiveness. It's a critique of someone only remaining naturally attractive and not accentuating their Beauty. She probably wears no make up, has no jelwery, with plain straight hair and simple cloths, lacks a personal style. Not everyone goes to the grocery store dressed for the Oscar's, though. Or participates in the Wal-Mart costume party.

When i was a kid i love this game so much…but it took them so long to make the remake, i lost interest.
Also didnt help how they are milking the game for all the money they can

Having Sephiroth in Smash is pretty awesome. It’s just a bit weird that his Final Smash hits the opponents with a friggin planet and just puts them to sleep while doing less damage than hitting them with a sword…

Couldn't disagree more. Ff7 characters + Hideo Kojima fanboying = ff7 remake. It was so bogged down by frivolous exposition that they forgot to make a game and then had to fk off with an ending just to put a cap on it. The combat was good but the rest of it was on rails. That's all I've got for you today, go away now.

Okay so the AVALANCHE team goes from fighting guards, robots and small monsters straight to fighting time guardian tentacles in the remake of the starting city of the original?

You do you, Drinkey, but this is one time I just listen to your ramblings half squinting and roll my eyes.

The whole "something's different in a weird way" would work for me if it was starting off subtle, but you didn't say it was subtle, you said it was LITERAL TIME GUARDIAN TENTACLES.

literally all they had to do for a remake was what Rockstar is doing with the new GTA remasters – just fuckin remake the game exactly the way it was but with better graphics and modern gameplay changes in the unreal engine.

I feel like it's worth mentioning that the music in this game is impressively well-made. It earned the award for best score/music at The Game Awards, without a doubt.

I wouldn't mind a complete beat-for-beat remake of FF6 with today's gfx.

I wanted to be excited for this one, but turned Cloud and Sephiroth into bishonen kind of turned me off. Just not my art style.

I'm disappointed by the FF7 Remake and it is arguably the game that made me lose faith in the franchise. The only reason I remain remotely interested in the franchise at all nowadays was because FF14's Shadowbringers expansion was able to give me a taste of that FF story that I felt has long been missing from the series arguably since the days of FF10. I definitely feel that the series has strayed since its creators left in the early 2000s and this is true of much of their franchises. The FF was no exception to this and I feel that it definitely continues to suffer as games are getting "Nomura'd" as they say with their Whispers and attempt to shoe horn Sephiroth everywhere. Combine that with the half baked action system and the lack of a traditional combat system and it definitely feels like they tried to make a game for everyone to end up with a game for no one. I might have actually liked the game if it fully committed to the action elements. At this point, it feels more like a glorified Atelier Ryza instead where you control 1 character and the other 2 are auto attacking bots.

Is it a decent game? Yes if you're looking for a half baked action game. But is it a successor to FF7? Hard no from me.

The only problem is they’re going to take too long releasing subsequent games, and they won’t have the nostalgia goodwill that the first one did, so fan interest is going to fizzle out.

My prediction, the second one will sell below expectations, and then they’ll decided to wrap things up in the third one, and call it a trilogy, despite going into it with loftier goals. It happened to Shenmue, it happened to Xenosaga, and I think it’s going to happen here too.

If there is one video game character I wish existed for real then I'd say it is Aerith.

It was a influential RPGs of all Time…. In consoles.
Is a mistake console gamers normally do.
There was More important and influential games… Just Not on consoles.
Fallout, Baldurs Gate, Última 4,5 and 7, Wizadry, Pool of Radiance, Might & Magic….
Yes, with FF7 console players discover what people on PC were enjoying since the 80s. Thats why no one really care when the game release on PC a year later.
FF7 Is a good game and chance console Gaming for ever…. But just console Gaming.
And about the remake… I still dont understand People: the game Cost 60$, its not completes, you never know when the rest Is going to come out, they chance the classic tactical Turn Bases combat for a Jack and Slash…. And People still love it and call it best remake ever… Make me Think that some People love anything with the FF7 name on it….

REMAKE SUCKED ASS!! I was sick of the sight of Sephiroth 20 mins into this pile of shit. And those endless stupid motobike sequences, which were a single mini game in the original, MY GOD MAKE IT STOP. Plot device ghosts were pure undiluted dog shit and silly. Never seen so much padding in a game since the last of us,

For me it was Final Fantasy X. I forgot who said it, but someone postulated that your first Final Fantasy game will always be your favorite. I think that holds true because your first introduction to that world is something that can never be experience again, even if another game in the franchise is technically better.

Better late then never CD. Like you I played the OG game(a few years after it csme out had to go my friends house to play it) and I remember everything about it. When a remake was announced I had very serious doubts about and that was largely due to all the IPs(both films and video games) were being destroyed, defiled and disrespected. But FF7: Remake does give me hope that there are people out there who actually and genuinely give a shit the IP's lore, characters and story.

The only thing that I do not agree on is the time, fate and destiny thing. But I am curious to see where they go with it(I just hope they do not screw it up in the doing).

My all time favorite video game series is Mass Effect(all of them and that includes Andromeda, it was the one that got me into it so it has a special place in my sci-fi nerd's heart). I'll never play the legendary edition(the OGs are forever).
