I don’t want to here Professor Peterson say fuck, I like it when he says bloody. Bloody should only be said with an English accent, but we give the good Professor a pass…….

Regardless of how I feel about all of Mr. Petersons philosophies (I agree with most) it is his daughters devotion to him that impresses me. CLEARLY Mikhaila reflects her parents values and therefore have great respect for them all. Wishing you peace and health❤️

The evil concept of sacrifice that Jordan likes is the idea that by killing an animal/human (ie. something of value but more importantly life) it will be appease a supposed loving god. If you work hard for years to get a degree it's not a sacrifice but a willing choice knowing that is a requirement for future success. It is choosing to value hard work etc which necessitates 'sacrificing' other activities ie not focusing on other activities (drinking, watching tv, etc).

I love this talk. It’s funny ,I missed you and your Dad . Because I didn’t realize how often I listened to the videos until your worlds were turned upside down. This is the firer I have heard of Mark. Imagine 13 million books sold and I didn’t know who he was or what he did.
Thank you for your inspiration in values and anecdotes. God bless you all.💕

Dave Mustaine was very unpredictable when he was a member of Metallica.
The other members would just become "silly" in a playful and charming way when they were drunk, whereas Dave Mustaine could get violent and dangerous. Kirk Hammett was much more fitting for that band, since he had more of their silly, playful attitude.

Mikhaila Peterson gon be the next big thing, guys. Get ready! You honestly look like a lovely woman and after going through a lot of weird things concerning SSRIs and all that and hearing about your diagnoses concerning your father, it's a shame you live so far away!

In 1:19:55: In today's ideology women don't have to contend with the probability of getting pregnant, because abortion is readily available and highly recommended if she wants to be "in control" of her body.

I almost immediately turned off the YouTube video when Mark said he wasn’t going to impose a value structure on someone else. I was VERY glad Jordan called him on that

What a shame. An otherwise interesting discussion spoiled by too much use of foul language. I had few expectations of Manson, having never heard of him. But for JP – and his daughter to descend to the lowest common denominator on this – disappointing. But agreed that JP seems to be back at at something roughly approaching his best.

I'll never cease to smile at the MP theme tune. Often I'm in a contemplative trance after an hour plus of heavy discussion and then WHAM the bounciest, happiest bop comes on and I have a celebratory dance 😀 Enjoyed this podcast a lot and really liked the bit about kids at 1:06:30

"yeah but then you end up with a kid , it's a lot of work but then theres another human there, thats pretty crazy". Very well put and made me laugh.

this was awesome! Been following both Mark and Jordan for years. Cool to hear them talk. Would be cool to have them go on longer, maybe even get into more religious discussion. As a person who was raised Christian but got turned off majorly due to the way most people practice it in North America, would be cool to hear their in depth interpretations.

Jordan's perspective seems largely shaped that it is mostly symbolic and metaphoric(which I agree with), while say many American followers(like my fam) see it as literal. Would be interesting to hear how Jordan thinks about the implications of viewing it mostly symbolically. It seems he sees it's practical importance in this life and how it can add meaning to this life. But does he actually think that not believing that a person who was raised from the dead would actually doom one to fire and brim? Hard sell for me.

Nonetheless, awesome duo here!

I look forward to these uploads so much. The nihilism that perforated my existence dissipates when the Peterson family invite us into their minds and I realize that meaning can be found. I must simply invite hope in.

Social cues – most groups of women will shun (at best) the pretty &/or intelligent girl. Seen it my whole life. The social cues given in this type of scenerio are the imbalanced element not the person being shunted. Sweet, well-intentioned conversation in this podcast, appreciated it.

I liked the part about the study of rats, when a rat was taken from their mothers at an early age they will show malfunctions in parenting, and that this even effect 3 generations further. This made me think about the second commandment, that a sin in believing in another God will be punished untill the third and fourth generation. Which i somehow correlated to when you make a contious mistake towards your childeren, this mistake will be brought upon three or four generation further. Which is sometimes visible in childeren who have been raised by tirannical parent, they somehow sometimes become the tirants themselfs even tho they would never want that for their childeren.

I was a mortgage broker in 2008, making 6 figures, until the last month, when I made zero. HOWEVER, I felt the most fulfilled within that last month, when I spend all day answering calls from panicked homeowners, about to lose their homes, directing them to programs and strategies on how to keep them until the economy stabilized.
