It all started with the gun laws he put into effect then all the bullshit with this over dramatized plandemic he went along with so I got off the trump train. No more voting for me for awhile. Only ever voted in 2016 my whole life. But I’ll tell you what he got me to see how fake everything is media ext.

I like Trump and voted for him specifically because Pelosi and the establishment from both sides hated him and twisted our county to remove him. If these monsters and the Hollywood "elite" hate Trump I love Trump because those people are so vile I wouldn't even spit in their direction. I do agree with you though, Snowden is a shame screw Kwame.

Don't write Trump off just yet. Democrats are still desperate to keep him from running again in 2024. My only concern is that if he does Democrats will just use rigged voting machines and paid off poll workers to steal the election again.

I never understood the whole pardon Snowden/ Assange argument, it felt like a damned if you do damned if you don’t type situation.

They already hate the man so if he pardoned them, they’d go after him even more hardcore now that they have all the power, his family, associates etc. not to mention that if either of those two showed up in the USA they’d probably be detained for some other random crime.

If he didn’t pardon them, the dems would hopefully ease up off his back a bit with them all pilling on and he could get his affairs in order, plus I really doubt those two would of came back to the USA anyway. But regardless the people he has been fighting for would feel like he turned their back on them and bent the knee.

It really feels like a moment of it’s easier said than done because you’re not the one in said situation having to make the choice and put your and your families life on the line.
Since a pardon only clears past/current crimes

I agree with about 75% of this. In spite of his failures, tighter gun restrictions and his utter cowardice in not pardoning Julian Assange and Eric Snowden, I would not have asked for any other president.
My family owns a restaurant and up until the epidemic we had the biggest success financially in decades due to Trump's economy. So were the other businesses around us. That alone made me vote for him twice and gave me hope that he would set the precedent for non career politicians to start rising up to correct course. Bu as you said, this was bigger than him. Perhaps my conservative values are holding me back from transitioning completely over to the libertarian party but I think that what Trump did and showed to the world can be replicated in a new political party that will start to take out these control freaks. And if said party has to make each State succeed from the union to fix these ills then so be it. Either way, we can't just mope around and pitty ourselves for this fraud election.

Im wondering how the pardon system works. People have made the point that Julian Assange was never convicted of a crime in the us he couldn't receive a pardon. Im not sure if thats true or not. Not to mention that Mitch threatened Trump with conviction.

Yea the assange thing definitely made me think twice about his anti-establishment persona he likes to use. Sad and pathetic.

Trump merely bought people extra time from corporate tyranny. If it wasn't for him the propaganda would have remained subtle and most people wouldn't have a damn clue what was going on.

Their acts of desperation has woke up even more people.

I thank Trump for dropping Obamacare. Penalizing people for not having medical insurance was plane robbery.

Im not defending Trump's logic in Pardoning Lil' Wayne over Assange, but you really just can't "pardon" a whistleblower.

Like, If Assange was pardoned, because of who he is, his following, and being a threat to the corrupt system, " they" could easily assassinate him or try to find away to arrest him again.

Lil' Wayne, on the other hand, isn't a real threat and isn't gonna lead his fans to demand goverment change.

Agree with him or not is the first time in 28 years that i dont see a President of your nation sending troops to pointles wars, but signing peace deals, he made a lot of people act like imbeciles, hypocrites and elitist in public showing how they really are, he basically popularize the fake news term and now nobody trust in media, hollywood or big tech, now we are talking about the end of US as a 50 states country, fraud like in latin american countries, a possible new party with probably millions of supporters to the point he is being blackmailed by McConnel to not pardon Assange, censorship in peoples faces and supporters in other countries trying to go the Trump's way which scares media and progressives in many countries and still he was the most popular person last year.
Ok you are dissapointed, I say maybe he needed more time to put better things, maybe he will return in 2024, maybe, but His legacy wont go for a while.

The moment Ron Paul was fucked over in 2012 was the moment I said to myself I will never participate in this system ever again! What the media did to Ron Paul in 08 and 12 is beyond disgusting!

I can appreciate Trump reinvigorating the American spirit. He wasn't really conservative, he was a 70s democrat. More people are aware of the swamp. Libertarian party still gonna be shit though by simping for communist blm

With regards to the divorce idea, it would probably be the most effective way at this point to avoid open conflict, but do you expect the powers that be to relinquish that much power? I suspect a lot of them won't want to lose any tax revenues (considering how many democrat areas seem to be drowning in debt), or accept the loss of control. But for what it's worth, I hope I'm wrong on this. It's certainly a better outcome than pushing the USA into civil war.

The good things about the Trump Presidency is:
1. It that it got more people to pay more attention to the government
2. Showed how broken the MSM is.
3. It exposed the cathedral and how authoritarian it is.

He should have pardoned Assange day one. I held out hope for that, and now, screw Donny. He blew it.
Now he's just like the rest of the swamp.

You may want to read the bump stock add.

Obama was the one who approved it. It was also the same week of the shooting that Vegas got that was to pass a bill to use silencers legally.

Facts.

As far as Assange and Snowden are concerned their pardons were stopped by AG Bill Barr, another swamp bastard.

YoungRippa59 the system is not broken it's the people in the system. I find it hard to believe that smart men, the founders, though flawed, came up with something so broken. Of course they were flawed granted but it's the people in the system and WE let it get this way. I agree about decentralization.
The constitution is great it didn't authorize this govt nor was it helpless considering we've lasted this long BUT people are people and some don't give it a shit you cannot control what people do mostly. In a technical sense it is a piece of paper but in the abstract it's so much more.

I dont believe the deep state would allow a true shift from the presidential norm.

Anytime people start to wake up they clamp down. Malcolm X great example.

The fear that people might overthrow and restart the government 2 weeks ago same thing. We're they going to storm the capital and do that? No, but even the possibility wont be allowed.

His lasting legacy is either opening peoples eyes or making them more extreme in their beliefs. There is no going back to being politically ignorant and that in itself is hard to deal with.

Sadly enough trump wouldn't be remembered for the goods things like the peace deals or his attempt to bring home the troops( some of his military advisors lied about ordering the troops home). Trump will be remembered as bumbling buffon, despite being actually a very good president.

Trump was a messenger that we the people have been doing the wrong thing when it comes to politics the last few decades. IF we the people had been focused on electing hard working politicians for the last 20+ years, Donald Trump would never have had a chance to get elected. The ownership of this country's failures is on YOU & ME, not Donald Trump. We should stop killing the messenger and get together to understand the message. FUCK SKIN COLOR, when will we understand that division keeps us all under the thumb of the elites. Alas we would rather pick apart my comments and enact the tribalism of trolling.

I think I'm there. Now, I voted for Trump, because I believed he was the lesser of two evils. I wasn't a fan of Trump, per say, but much of what he did was better than his predecessors, and I got used to being happy with that. Listening to these GOP cowards and their media enablers that want to return to a status quo of phony resistance has absolutely turned my stomach the last few days. I'm now at a point where, the system has to change or the lights get turned out.

Honestly, i only knew a little about politics i voted democrat 2 times because i was young dumb and pressured into voting for demos but I've always been a curious person being artistic, then i voted for conservative to understand both sides. We're all really human beyond the title the environment is the most important thing above fair treatment.

Thanks for this info I didn't know this about Trump he did pull troops out of the middle east and there are some things to criticize and compliment. I disagree I think Trump did shake things up but the left (and the right) made thins REALLY difficult. Overall staying open minded about this.

I voted green in 2012 and 2016. Didn't even vote in 2008 was super anti establishment politicians and media in my early 20s. But I voted for Trump in 2020. The media twisted and smeared literally every move he made. Got pissed i was made to hate him and bought it for 3 years. He did care about this country.

The thing with statists is their stubbornness from admitting being wrong. If their figurehead fails them, they'll either downplay it as much as they could or move on to a new figurehead. Never stopping to think maybe giving someone untold power and placing too much blind trust is the problem. They yell freedom when what they mean is just freedom from the other side, but remaining pacifist toward being bound in chains by their figureheads.
