I quit buying anything new, I've gone back to regaining my old collection that I sold off before joining the military 20+ years ago. So now when I buy comics I look for back issues of Wolverine, Spider-Man 2099, X-Men/Uncanny X-Men, Spawn, etc., basically anything from the 90's or earlier.

ShAkeUp.. sounds like a new Marvel character, a lesbian with the sides of her head shaved who loves the science so much that when blob got so fat blob couldn't move, blob created blobself a robotic bed to get around in.. so heavy, so powerful it shakes the ground.. which she uses to fight the patriarchy.

I'm confused what difference will it make if the content is still trash?

Considering Penguin Randomhouse employees wanted to get Jordan Peterson’s book removed from the publisher because it “might hurt people’s feelings”, I don’t see how this will change the ideology.

Penguin Random Houses is buying up publishers like nothing, this could be a problem in the future.

I like to envision a world without people like kelly sue deconnick and gail Simone in the comic industry

Normies aren’t consuming comics. They’re trying to attract people outside y’all’s community. If it works, comics are dead forever. If it fails, you might get comics back.

Yes we are. Marvel and dc will do whatever it takes to not admit thier storytelling has been crap since the 1990s.

people are starting to see that the narrative is bullshit. that's why ratings are down. that's why sales are down. how much money do these people have to lose before they take the hint?

I think the Manga industry is possibly one of the biggest impacts. The only way to keep a manga going is for it to actually sell and be good.

I’ve been saying for years that they need to stop the long continuity like new 52 and rebirth and make shorter stories like the dark knight returns, superman rebirth and all star. I don’t have the time or money to buy all of the books necessary to keep up with the new 52 or rebirth.

And Diamond was always kind of a pain in the arse. They had too much shizzle and not nearly enough well run procedures to keep the machine running.
That was like 20+ years ago but it was 💩

Not a chance. They are deliberately tanking every aspect of entertainment. We have ample proof to show this to be true. Profit is no longer the priority, the agenda is.

When they get to the top and continue to disappoint, they usually crash faster than you’d think it would.

Prices are gonna keep going up on single issue dog shit comic stories at DC and Marvel. Not sure if it's because ad revenue is down but I'd imagine companies with money to spend on advertising on a national level aren't spending it on comics anymore.

Uneducated guess: they are losing too much money and have to cut some corners.

Manga sells in the millions. Bookstores have two isles of manga, and it's growing. I don't even care about western comics. Manga isn't woke and full of diversity quotas.
