I hope you guys review Outer Wilds when it comes out this summer. I can't wait for that game and will buy it on its release date.

I still don't understand why some games look so bad on switch. At times it really feels like developers have lost the ability to create games for lower spec devices. A lot of these current gen switch ports look like PS2 games. Their idea of optimizations seems to be turning the PC version to low and turning down the resolution.

Is it just me or did I imagine games like Gears of War, God of War 3, DmC, Red Read 1, Uncharted, Arkham City the list goes on and on for games that looked far better on Xbox 360 and PS3 than a lot of Switch ports do. I mean even Crysis and Darksiders 2 look far better on Xbox 360 than Switch when the Switch is an objectively more powerful system.

It really feels like devs have spoilt by modern consoles and PC hardware.

Good review but I feel like with a game like this it’d be good to give a bit more weighting to the story elements? I could see myself looking past the technical flaws of the game if the story was sufficiently gripping but it’s not really something that’s addressed in the review.

The writer needs to find alternatives to the phrases "definitely" and "most certainly." It's repeated way too often for professional writing.

A plague tale was really good LOU substitute, especially if you’re not happy with the identity politicking of the second one.

But I don’t think it’s on the switch

This setting of this game looks incredible. All I’d need is… something to scare the crap out of me throughout the game.

If it’s only 2.5-3 hours…how frustrating can it be? Seems like the length would be the only downside. Also…looking for a combination, you didn’t think about discarded notes being significant until…later? …ahem…ahem…🤔😳

That review score feels too high to me. I need to finish editing my breakdown video on this game and upload it. However the short version is the game is sluggish, clunky, ugly, and just plain boring. I wouldn't rate it higher than a three. I regret requesting a review key.

The word frustrating was used quite often, Thanks for the review, but pass. 🙂

What gameplay? Surely this should score less than 50%. As usual the review itself provides enough info to know not to buy it.

I always wanted to visit Pripyat… looks like the developer has decided to make a Pripyat Sim, presented with the trappings of a Room-type puzzler-slash ‘walking simulator’ (a harsh term, as I really like that niche genre, with the slow-burn likes of Everyone’s Gone to The Rapture still giving me All The Feels). Just seems like this is maybe a bit too rough around the edges right now to pick up, but sure, I’m interested, if the rough edges get patches out…

Just finished this. I was enjoying the atmosphere but as you go on subtlety is thrown out the window, towards the end the games mixed message(s) are beaten over your head with such cringey bluntness it reminded me of reading high school poetry. Overall, the mood and mystery ( at first ) was good but as it went on I liked it less.
