Fathers for Justice had a damn good point, this type of protest doesn't help your case, it turns the public against you. Insulate Britain gambled that the Leftie media would ride shotgun for them, where as said media were ideologically opposed to Fathers for Justice from the start. Insulate miscalculated there. The media class talk a good one about climate etc, but that doesn't extent to you holding them up when they are driving somewhere in their large luxury SUV.

I don't depend on the Government anymore…Been a single parent can be tough on you but since I found out about Crypto trading and invested, I've had to relax a bit more than I would've thought.

No, they are circumventing the democratic process, they should be ignored like all radicals.

People have been insulating buildings for decades.

And renewables should be dumped as they're beyond useless, they provide power exactly when now required and not delivering it when required.

The UK accounts for less than 1% of global emissions and this figure is falling. Free insulation has been available for 15 years. There is no point retrofitting old houses 10 years before they are demolished.

What ever we do it won’t make a significant difference anyway. Insulating a bit more he’s not Going to excite China into further action.

What exactly is going to happen if we do not insulate all the houses in the UK ? (apart from endless road blocking protests)?

Insulate our homes? Of course, that's a no-brainer but let's get real.. this is only their garlic bread intro starter meal. Continuing down this road there still needs to be a more honest discussion about where and what minerals are coming from and needed respectively, if batteries (for instance) are going to be one of the supposed saviours.

At the moment the environmental conditions in the mining for such things is bad enough given the appalling poverty, child slave labour not to mention I doubt the people of Africa are receiving any benefit whatsoever, but to meet the UK's needs alone if we are to replace our domestic cars and haulage fleet with this same technology, I doubt there's enough rare minerals in existence to satisfy these needs, let alone the globe's. And of course, this doesn't even take into account the expenditure of CO2 in obtaining these minerals out of the ground in the first place.

Yes this is an anecdotal description but like I say, an honest debate is needed otherwise we're simply replacing one problem with another, of similar if not worse magnitude. We've got to be realistic, something that's not particularly synonymous with Insulate Britain or Extinction Rebellion.

The govt and energy companies provide up to 100% grants already. I had my house done last year.

Yet these melts dont bother using the available funds to do their own places….

They are useless.. do as I say not as I do hypocrites.

The real discussion should be about why the western world is caving into these climate alarmists. There is no climate emergency. The IPCC report does not say the world is going to end in 12 years. All the fake hype is dreamt up by climate scientists who are paid to come up with this stuff and politicians who are either stupid or have an angle where they think they can benefit from all this nonsense. Boris is going to trash our country for nothing.

Yes they do have a point, but alienating a whole population is NOT the way to go about winning hearts and minds.
Indeed, their lack of intelligent leadership and strategy has no doubt harmed their cause and made fools of them.

The point is they have no real struggles or hardships in their lives so they have to mess with other people.

This guy was a govt advisor? God help us.
Let’s ncrease wind installed capacity so it can provide 100% of our electricity (4x). In September we got 2% from renewable. That means next September (or whenever) we’ll get 8%. We’re does the other 92% come from??!?!?!
The cost of windmills may be cheap enough, but the cost of running an equal capacity gas generator in the background to fill in the gaps is never mentioned. That’s why increased renewable means increased prices.
THIS IS MADNESS.

I am always very suspicious of characters like Tom Burke who are paid by the
renewables industry to give "impartial" information.
When their income depends on having a climate emergency, they will never
give honest information.
Renewables are NOT cheaper than fossil alternatives and they are STILL heavily
subsidised by your taxes and energy bills.
Always be wary of climate activists and other profiteers.

In a democracy people are free to make a point and take a point. They're not free to ram a point down someone's throat on pain of causing stress and disruption to their lives.
